What is Glivec?
US FDA approved Glivec, a drug for the
treatment of chronic myelogenic leukemia
(CML), in May 2001. In fact, Glivec is the one
and only drug that is effective for refractory
CML patients. But it is still 'not a drug of
hope, but a drug of despair' in South Korea.
